I've been with LC long enough to see that the staff manager rank has FAILED.
As we have learned, having 1 person in charge is always going to lead to corruption and failure, for examples, look at every single former staff manager, even look at the old Parliament leadership in Great Britain.
I am here to suggest a new system, take 3 staff, and give them OP. This way, with the same system of checks and balances that the United States government made so popular, we can ensure all decisions are correctly made.
Having 3 EQUAL players making the decisions will definitely make all the decisions more thought out, better planned, and most of all, more fair to the players and staff. Not to mention relieve some of the stress a staff manager can be put under.
I am with this system .. We need 3 players from DIFFERENT time zone .. (Like the UK *Wink*) Jokes, but we do need 3 payers from different time zones so someone is always on to reset!

Yes, this is a good point made by chharp, there would definitely have to be a good amount of thought put in before the Ops were chosen if this system were to be used. I would say one European and two Americans would be good, but whatever, I just think it is time for a change, and with 3 more powerful staff members, ideas would be made into realities, and in general, things would happen alot faster, much to the pleasure of the community. LC has lacked a strong upper- upper staff for a while, and I think this idea would be the crucial one, the idea that brings LC back to its former glory.

I would say 1 GMT or around GMT +1 or -1 One american and one Australian/ anywhere in Asia (I think they have the same time-zones) . That would give us a even spread.

Great idea, however the mention of checks and balances indicates that there is exactly that. Each OP would have to have different responsibilities or "checks" in place that would allow for honest decisions. Otherwise there is just 3x OP rather than 1. What do you purpose as an actual check/balance system?
I think this could work really well if implemented correctly.
